Catherine graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. In 1994, Catherine graduated from Cooley Law School with a Juris Doctor Degree. Since that time. Catherine has been an active member of the State Bar of Michigan in good standing since 1995.

Catherine has been admitted to the United States District Court – Eastern Division since 2002. She has been a member of the Lapeer County Bar Association since 1997 and in 2016 was the first awarded recipient of the Earl Morgan Award by the Lapeer County Bar Association for outstanding service in the community.

Catherine is also licensed to practice in Connecticut.
